Letter of Forever

Under the moonlight that bridges heaven and earth,

I find a letter of us.

A century in each line,

A millennium in each verse,

Forever we are tied.

As the world shuffles in chaos,

I recognize your familiar shape,

in each lifetime.

In our letter, I find

where we are destined to meet, each lifetime.

That’s where I shall wait,

To watch the crooked sunset, with you.

In our letter, I find

The instant we fell in love, each lifetime.

That’s when I’d rather be,

And sing my raspy songs, while I wait.

For centuries and millennia,

Imprinted with your rippled gaze

A thousand lifetimes we meet,

No less potent than the first.

Time rearranges every scene

Yet I recall each time we cross paths,

Again and again.

In our letter, I find

Where promises were made, each lifetime.

Forever we are tied.

In our letter, I find

Signatures smeared by tears

For eternity we are tied.
